Mom’s Bow Tie Pasta.

Perfect pasta! Grated parm on top and Italian bread with butter.

Directions:

  • Add oil to a heavy pan. Cook sausage (and pepper flakes if using) until no longer pink.

  • Add onion and garlic - simmer for 3-4 minutes.

  • Add tomatoes, basil, cream and salt. Simmer while pasta is cooking (1 lb. box of bow tie pasta).

  • Drain pasta and add to sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • 1 lb. sweet Italian sausage (casing removed and crumbled)

  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

  • Pinch fresh basil

  • 1/2 cup diced onion

  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 (28 oz) can plum tomatoes, chopped

  • 12 oz. Bow Tie Pasta
