Hot Tomatoes.

Great with sandwiches throughout the year.

Directions:

  • Make as many mason jars as you would like, depending on how many green tomatoes you have.

  • Wash the green tomatoes and hot peppers. Poke a hole in each side (2)

  • Stuff each jar with tomatoes and peppers.

  • Add salt and sugar then vinegar and water (use a little extra water), add alum.

  • Shake well and store upside down for a few months.

Ingredients (per mason jar):

  • Green Tomatoes & Hot Peppers (as available)

  • 2 heaping TBSP unionized salt

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1 heaping tsp Alum

  • Water & Cider Vinegar - half of each to fill jar
