Hot Tomatoes.
Great with sandwiches throughout the year.
Directions:
Make as many mason jars as you would like, depending on how many green tomatoes you have.
Wash the green tomatoes and hot peppers. Poke a hole in each side (2)
Stuff each jar with tomatoes and peppers.
Add salt and sugar then vinegar and water (use a little extra water), add alum.
Shake well and store upside down for a few months.
Ingredients (per mason jar):
Green Tomatoes & Hot Peppers (as available)
2 heaping TBSP unionized salt
1 tsp sugar
1 heaping tsp Alum
Water & Cider Vinegar - half of each to fill jar
