Gingerbread Cookies.
Directions:
In a large bowl mix sugar, molasses, butter, egg until fluffy. Stir in flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking powder and salt until smooth. Wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Heat oven to 350F.
Roll dough 1/8” thick. Use cutters, re-roll and cut more.
Bake 10 minutes (may vary). Cool and decorate with frosting.

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 large egg
2.5 cups unsifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
