Aunt Jan’s Butter Cookies.

Fun to decorate and make in holiday shapes.

Makes about 30 cookies - can be doubled.

Directions:

  • Mix by hand

  • Roll to 1/4 inch thick and cut as desired.

  • Lightly top with egg whites and nuts if desired.

  • Bake at 400F for 8-10 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)

  • pinch of salt

  • pinch of baking soda

  • 1/2 cup conf. sugar

  • 2 1/2 cups sifted flour

  • 2 tbsp. corn starch
