Grandma’s Butter Cookies.

Fun to decorate and make in holiday shapes. Also delicious sprinkled with nuts!

Directions:

  • Cream butter and sugar.

  • Add slightly beaten eggs.

  • Add brandy.

  • Mix baking soda and flour.

  • Combine all, mix by hand.

  • Chill for several hours

  • Roll, cut and brush egg whites - sprinkle with sugar or nuts.

  • Bake at 350F for 10-15 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. butter

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 eggs, separated

  • 6 cup flour

  • 1/2 tsp brandy

  • 1 tsp. baking soda

  • 1 cup chopped almonds or walnuts for topping
